Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Second Shift Heat Treat Operator to join our team. As a Heat Treat Operator, you will play a crucial role in the heat treatment process, ensuring the proper treatment of materials to meet our clients’ specifications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the manufacturing process while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

• Hours: 2p-10p
• Days: Monday – Friday (potential overtime on weekends when needed)

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate heat treatment equipment according to work orders and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor and adjust heat treatment parameters to achieve desired results.
• Inspect materials for defects or irregularities before and after the heat treatment process.
• Record and maintain accurate data on process parameters and inspection results.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Identify and report any issues or concerns related to equipment, materials, or processes to the supervisor.
• Loading baskets of material for future loads.

Preferred Requirements but not limited to:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in heat treating is a plus.
• Proven experience as a heat treat operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with various heat treatment processes, including annealing, tempering, quenching, and stress relieving.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and hardness testers.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work the second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
